What does MDA provide?Doctors and their spouses accepted into this program will take part in a four-month formation program, together with those preparing to serve as Lay Mission-Helpers Association. This residential formation program is held in Los Angeles with classes offered in Scripture, Theology, Mission Culture, Catholic Social Doctrine, Communication and are for the individuals' personal preparation to begin this important ministry of service.
Once the formation is completed, doctors begin their three-year mission assignment. MDA provides airfare for these long-term lay missionaries, as well as, insurance and a small stipend.
